I used to work in Hollywood, and every so often we would take a long lunch and head West on Venice Blvd to Versailles, a Cuban restaurant famous for their roast pork and chicken. Delicious. Tonight we visited another location, and the verdict – different place, same great flavor.
We went to a performance of Stomp at the Saban Theater, then after the show we stopped on La Cienega at another Versailles location. ( An aside – Stomp is a lot of fun – and it’s very kid-friendly. )
I had never been to this one before – it’s smaller, and there’s not a lot of parking.
The food did not disappoint though. The roast pork special was served with fried plantains, white rice and black beans. Sliced raw onion on top was a really good complement, and I am only a fair-weather raw onion fan. El Tapatio on the table if you like it spicy, which I do.
A great finish to a really fun evening.
